In January 1997 God called Dr. Wallace to plant a ministry in Sacramento.

 

After weeks of prayer, and confirmation by men of God in the pastoral community, the vision was laid out in a restaurant in the presence of five devoted Christians.

 

Dr. Wallace appointed the leaders of the group to develop the articles and bylaws and to pray about a site for the church. The first service was held in March 1997.

Dr. Wallace believes in the God-breathed, God-inspired, and inerrable word of the Bible. He also believes that anyone, regardless of community status, is welcome as they are. Everybody is somebody at New Direction.
